Ruth joined MC2 Accountants, Corporate Finance department in February 2016. Her role is focused on providing advice to SME and Corporate clients across a number of different areas.

The role involves assisting with corporate debt restructuring, capital and debt fundraising along with business valuations and modelling.

Ruth is experienced in the areas of financial, credit and risk analysis. She has a strong business acumen and is strategically focused. Having previously managed portfolios of high value SME businesses, she has an ability to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders to ensure that transactions are completed in an efficient manner.

Education, previous work experience

Prior to joining MC2 Accountants, she worked with Bank of Ireland for more than 10 years having originally joined the bank via the Business Banking Graduate Programme. During her time in Bank of Ireland, she worked in both Retail Branch and Business Banking, primarily managing the banking needs of businesses within the SME and the mid corporate sectors. Most recent role held was Business Manager, Business Banking Cork City. This role involved managing a portfolio of SME businesses from a variety of industries including hospitality, retail convenience and IT along with property investment.

Ruth has specific interest in the Healthcare and Technology industries.

Ruth holds a BSc in Business Information Systems and an MBA from University College Cork. Finally, Ruth is a Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) having completed the professional diploma with the Institute of Bankers.

Personal

In her spare time, Ruth enjoys running, cycling and swimming, regularly taking part in road and adventure races.
