Graduate Programme

We are looking to recruit a Trainee Accountant to commence on our 2019 Graduate Programme. Our training will ensure that you graduate from our training programme a technically skilled accountant with well-rounded commercial and business skills.

Assisting in various aspects of financial accounting, auditing and tax compliance with opportunities to work within our advisory teams as your career path develops.

  • Assisting senior staff with engagement metrics and provide high quality deliverables to clients
  • Assisting in the preparation for statutory accounts for Companies, Soletraders and Partnerships
  • Auditing for various client sectors
  • Preparation of tax returns including Income Tax, Corporation Tax, PAYE/PRSI & VAT
  • General bookkeeping duties & payroll
  • Acting as key support to the other Team members, specifically through the provision of financial information on a timely basis
  • Supporting other departments across the practice where needed
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required

You will have a high level of initiative with the ability to take direction and prioritise workload. Interested candidates should also possess the following:

  • Personally motivated with ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Minimum 2.1 Business/Accountancy degree
  • Looking to study for a professional accountancy qualification of ACCA or ACA as part of the Training Programme
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage time effectively
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

An experienced Tax Manager – Director is required to join the Tax Team. The Tax
Manager – Director will get the opportunity to work with a broad range of clients. There

Responsibilities

– Management and Growth of the Tax Department in the firm

– Work on a challenging, evolving and varied client portfolio, with excellent
opportunities to develop and manage your own portfolio.

- Providing intelligent and creative solutions to client tax issues both reactively and
proactively and presenting solutions to complex technical issues.

- Writing high quality tax reports, professionally presented documents, requiring
minimal input from partners.

- Managing the Compliance function within the department.

- Monitoring and reporting on the firm’s risk management processes and procedures.Partake in our knowledge box informal training sessions

– Develop close client relationships, understand their business and play a part in
winning new work, while cross selling the other professional services offerings of

manager grade within the support network of a dynamic professional services firm

 

About the Person

– CTA qualified (ACA/ACCA/CPA additional qualification preferred) with a minimum 3-
4 years post qualification experience of working in a tax department of a large firm.

- Strong technical knowledge and proven ability to identify opportunities for clients.

- Experience in managing and leading a team of qualified professionals

- Top tier practice trained across all tax heads

- Display commitment, effort, motivation and initiative in all business dealings

- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

- Develop, mentor, recruit and retain a highly engaged accounting team
- Manage a portfolio of clients directly and support other team members in the
management of their client portfolios
- Ensuring a timely completion of clients’ statutory obligations covering audit,
accounts, CRO returns, corporation tax and personal tax compliance
- Liaising with clients to ensure a timely delivery of high quality service
- Provide technical accounting support to the team as input is required
- Identify and implement controls and best practice solutions
- Partake in our knowledge box informal training sessions
- Identifying business development opportunities through attracting new business
while cross selling the other professional services offerings of the firm
- Ability to manage within budgetary and time constraints while providing a high-
level of client satisfaction
- Promoting new ideas and business solutions that result in extended services to
existing clients
